about

This is the first single off of something upcoming that we can't talk about and you definitely can't guess what it is. Stop thinking about it.

Anyways, we've been thinking hard about how we want to go about recording our material. Sometimes it seems impossible to sort through the pros and cons of professional recording vs a DIY setup. Having an engineer is this beautiful thing where, if it's somebody you trust, you're set up with this sounding board and magic genie to take care of all of the behind the scenes bullshit while you're free to create and go through as many ideas (terrible and less terrible) that it takes to make something perfect.

To us, at the end of the day it comes down to the feeling you want to encapsulate. Some projects benefit from the warm, meticulously thought out, clear, and bright sound of a studio environment. For us though, we wanted to feel like you are trapped (consensually) in a shed in Bellingham with us, tripping over wires and locking Aidan in a dark room (it's not as bad as it sounds).

We hope you enjoy this single, think of it as a little snack before...something we can't talk about and you shouldn't try to figure out. I've said too much.

Anways, here are the lyrics...

lyrics

Oh these bodies are a cancer
Infecting my blue skin, see tiny dancers so you

Grind away, feed the race

Brazen butchers, watch them portion up
Go for seconds, go on try your luck

Plastic habit multiplies like rabbits
Breathe it in, so god damn insolent, poison lung
Parasite eating my warm insides
Freeze you out, Burn you out

Feed my scraps to dogs
Gluttony's your god
Plastic in your thoughts, sell wholesale hunger while you

Grind away, feed the race

Pregnant ice age makes you shiver
Expired meat, your graves are gonna glitter

Grind away, feed the raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace
